Grove ("Grove," "we," "us," or "our") is a community social application for gay men, operated by Grove App and accessible at findyourgrove.app and through our mobile applications. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@findyourgrove.app.
City chat messages are retained for 90 days from the date they are sent, after which they are permanently deleted. This retention period allows us to investigate moderation complaints. We may retain messages for longer periods if required by applicable law or if a complaint investigation is ongoing.
Direct messages between users are retained for as long as both users maintain active Grove accounts. If a user's account becomes inactive or is deleted, their direct messages are retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted. You may delete your own messages at any time from within the app.
Profile information is retained until you delete your account. Upon account deletion, all profile data is permanently removed within 30 days.
When you delete your account, we permanently delete your email address, profile, messages, and all associated data within 30 days. Certain records may be retained for longer if required for legal compliance or active moderation investigations.

You can view and update your profile information at any time from the Edit Profile screen within the app.
You can delete your Grove account at any time from the Profile tab. Account deletion permanently removes your profile, messages, and all associated data within 30 days.
You can disable push notifications at any time from your device settings or from within the Grove app.
The Near Me feature requires location permission. You can revoke this permission at any time from your device settings. Revoking location permission disables the Near Me feature but does not affect any other Grove functionality.

Grove is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Grove is operated from the United States. If you access Grove from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using Grove, you consent to this transfer. We will comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR for users in the European Union.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information.
