The short version: Be a good human. Treat others with dignity. Don't lie about who you are. Don't use Grove to harm anyone. We reserve the right to remove anyone who makes this community unsafe. These are the rules of the grove.
By downloading, installing, or using Grove ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use Grove. These Terms apply to all users including free and premium subscribers.
Grove is operated by Grove App ("Grove," "we," "us," or "our"). By using Grove you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
You must provide accurate, truthful information when creating your account. You may not impersonate another person, create a fake identity, or misrepresent your age. Using someone else's photos without their permission is prohibited.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Grove is not liable for any loss resulting from your failure to protect your credentials. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately at safety@findyourgrove.app.
You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Grove exists to build genuine community. Everyone is expected to treat others with dignity and respect. The following are strictly prohibited:
⚠ Zero tolerance: Any content involving minors in a sexual context will result in immediate permanent account termination and referral to law enforcement. There are no exceptions and no appeals for this category of violation.
You retain ownership of content you post on Grove. By posting content you grant Grove a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and improving Grove. We will never sell your content to third parties.
You are solely responsible for the content you post. Grove does not endorse any user-generated content.
Users can report any other user or content they believe violates these Terms. All reports are reviewed by Grove's human moderation team. We do not use automated systems to make final moderation decisions.
Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, Grove may take the following actions:
We reserve the right to skip directly to permanent termination for serious violations.
If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting safety@findyourgrove.app within 30 days. Appeals related to zero-tolerance violations will not be considered.
By using Grove, you acknowledge that your messages may be reviewed by our moderation team in response to a complaint. See our Privacy Policy for full data retention details.
Grove is free to download and use. Free tier users have access to all core features and may see advertisements. Grove does not show ads in Direct Messages.
Grove offers an optional premium subscription called Grove Root that removes advertisements and unlocks additional features. Pricing is displayed in the app at the time of purchase. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis and will auto-renew unless cancelled.
Grove offers one-time founding member purchases — Grove Sapling, Grove Root Lifetime, and Grove Canopy — which provide lifetime access to premium features at a founding price. These are non-refundable one-time purchases.
You may cancel your recurring premium subscription at any time through your device's app store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are subject to Google Play and Apple App Store refund policies respectively.
Grove and all of its original content, features, and functionality — including the Grove name, logo, status border system, and underlying code — are owned by Grove App and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from Grove's proprietary content without express written permission.
Grove is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that Grove will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for the conduct of any user on or off the platform. Meeting someone from Grove in person is entirely at your own risk — please exercise personal safety precautions. Grove does not conduct background checks on users.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grove App shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Grove or your interactions with other users. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Grove in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Grove App, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of Grove, or your interactions with other users.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Virginia, United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Virginia.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice in the app and updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Grove after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
